Bang, my baby shot me down….

Hurricane Katrina, and the insane, shameful and mean spirited reaction from a lot of people across the world. I’ve heard some good ones, one of my favorites is “Fuck america, they don’t need aid, they have it all.”, but the one that topped the cake was “Just another us trick to get our money like mcdonalds and mtv and 9-11.”. Huh? HUH? We created this hurricane to trick you into giving us money? Are you out of your fucking minds!?

Now I realize that the US being as well off as it appears, I can understand why there are other countries/peoples out there who don’t feel the need to give financial assistance, and in my humble and sexy opinion, we shouldn’t be asking for it ( I don’t know if we are ), but if you choose not to help then it should reneg any right to bitch about it. That’s right, if you don’t want to get involved, then shut the fuck up. The end.

Speaking as someone who has been poverty stricken for the greater part of my life, I can tell you it’s not always the people who have the money here, but our government should ( I say should because of Psycho Dubya and his War to Nowhere sucking up all our funds ) be responsible for it, but they aren’t. I don’t know if everyone out there entirely understands this but in a lot of other countries the government provides aid, whereas in the US our greedy-ass government generally lets us fend for ourselves which is why we have organizations like The Salvation Army, RedCross and The LDS Relief Society. We depend on these people, and a lot of times the people who help the most are under-funded. And they do make a difference.

Some asswipe on Deviantart.com had the balls to say that catastrophies could be more easily recovered from if it wasn’t for US institutions like Red Cross. Okay, that’s some lying, retarded bullshit. When I was seven years old there was a blizzard, a bad one, in Washington where I was living in a trailer with my mom and sister. The storm got so bad that it sent the trunk of a tree through one of our windows and smashed the side of the trailer in, and I mean smashed in. We had no home, we had no food, it was freezing and we were dirt poor and the Salvation Army and Red Cross set up in a church let us sleep there in warm cots and eat hot food, they were sweet and friendly and caring and if they hadn’t have been there we could’ve all died, I know my mom was sick enough that she might have. They didn’t ask for one penny from us, not one, and they took care of us when we had nowhere else to go and I’ll be damned if I just shut up and let someone badmouth them just because they’re U.S. based!

Someone on Deviantart was trying to do a good thing by starting a forum topic to let people know where they can donate if they choose to, and most of the responses were hateful, cruel and some unjustified. As you know I hate Bush possibly more than anyone on the planet, and if I had it in me to shoot someone then it’d definately be him, but using the loss of so many human lives – using a forum that was created to try and raise awareness – as a political soapbox? As far as I’m concerned, the way that people outside of the US have reacted to our citizens suffering is outrageous, and it’s really shown me what the world is like, along with those people that I have so stupidly tried to sympathize with.

One of my current peeves is throwing it up to anyone who’ll listen that nobody should help the US now because we didn’t do as much as people expected us to do after the Tsunami devistation. Now, I think we need a new presidential advisor who lets the president constantly know that to the world every major problem is a contest to see who gets there first and who gives the most. It’s a competition, if it wasn’t, they wouldn’t keep bringing it up, right? I know I gave what I could, and I’m sure there are hundreds of visitors who’ve come to this site who can not only vouch for that but have probably done the same, right? At least we got there, at least we did something, which is more than I can say for all of you assholes sitting up on your high horses and poo poo-ing us for having the balls, the audacity even, to kill all of those people with a hurricane we apparently created with our magick wands.

Can you believe a German had the balls to tell ME what’s wrong with MY government? Hello, chicken shit, I don’t remember my government having concentration camps. I’m not saying the US government doesn’t fuck up majorly, but all governments do, and if we’re so rich we must be doing something right, eh?

Get the fuck over yourselves, mouth breathing assholes. I’m so tired of this bullshit, so tired of people in this country, and now outside of it who think they’re better than anyone and everyone they don’t agree with. I’m tired of people who can watch others suffer and not even be moved to send well wishes.

I’ve got to hand it to Nat ( sw-destiny.net, forbidden-love.net ). That girl gives til it hurts, she’s been torn apart by this whole thing and she’s not even from the US. So, I know it’s possible to care if you’re outside the US of A, so if you don’t or if you look down on us for it? Pull your head out of your ass, you’re the way you are because you CHOOSE to be. All of the things you’re saying are either bred out of ignorance or hate, and if hate be the case, I’d like to leave you with a little something that Shaw once said:

“Hatred is the coward’s revenge for being intimidated.” Bitch.

I’d also like to extend a hug and a heartfelt thank you to all of those who aren’t from the USA who’ve helped or sent good vibes, trust me when I say we appreciate everything you do!

I do have to make a sidenote that Bush is finally doing something about the devistation in New Orleans and surrounding area, but someone should give him a jetpack because god damn he took his time.
