Paint Your Life

Well this is neat. If you get a chance, check out PaintYourLife.com and poke around on their site. They’re basically a service where you send in your photographs via snail mail, or you can even use their website to upload them directly from your personal computer, and they convert them into art – as in real paintings. At first, I thought what I was seeing was a damn good vector piece, but it turns out that they employ portrait artists who actually paint a near exact, if not very stylized, version of your photo. Yes, paint.
They do a little of everything, from landscapes and portraits to pet portraits, in all sorts of mediums like pastels, charcoal and water color, as well as oil paintings. Of course you realize that I’d want an oil painting of Main Street USA in Disneyland, California. Why? Because I’m crazy, that’s why, lol. But the shops are so pretty, both inside and out, but a view from the street is what I’d want. I wonder if they would actually be able to fulfill such an odd wish and something like that? Disneyland Portrait, I mean? Not that I have the money, but I do have pictures from work and vacations of Main Street USA, one of the prettiest places you’ll ever see, even if it is jam-packed with tourists, lol.
