Carved

2007 | Movies

I finally got to see Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman and ewww! That’s a scary-ass, if not a bit disjointed film, about a woman who appears out of thin air – in an overcoat, face mask and carrying long scissors – and abducts children. Before the abductions she asks, “Am I pretty?” then her mask is removed ( in various ways each time ) to reveal her mouth cut open almost from ear to ear – eew!

The plot was fairly easy to stay one step ahead of, but the woman was infinately horrifying, and a little pathetic but the best part of the film is the emphasis on ‘if you hit your kids, you get what’s coming to you. Is it just me, or should that be the theme of every film?
