Keen Eddie
2007 | Random, Rants, TV, Watching
Well, I’ve done it. I’ve watched the entire Keen Eddie series, which isn’t hard to do since Keen Eddie only had one season even though it’s the most brilliant cop show that’s ever been on the air, ever, lol. Mark Valley and Julian Ryan-Tut are absolutely magnificent playing off eachother, Monty is maybe the funniest character I’ve come across in a long time, especially since his selfish urges overwhelm his common sense in an oddly normal way wherein lies the genius of that character. This series also marks the last time Sienna Miller looked healthy, lol.
Laota and I’ve been discussing what makes the show Keen Eddie such an amazing show and we’ve concluded that, stripping away and setting aside all of the great things about the program, what stands out is the extra mile the writers went to make even the smallest character relatable. Even the most mindless mugger has a mom or a wife, and his life and psychology are wrapped up in the story, somehow. The last episode is one of the best examples of this, and it’s driving me nuts that they cut it off where they did. Always leave them wanting more, I guess, lol.
