Egg Shapes!

2007 | Food

Well, I’ve done it. Iv’e spent $25 whole dollars on an egg maker thingie for my bento lunches. Yes, and it will be worth it. It cooks the egg and yolk seperately, in different molds so that, when put back together, you have a slice of egg, round like you sliced a regular hardboiled egg open, with a shaped yolk in the middle – it’s fabulous. I’ll make sure to add pictures when I use it successfully for the first time.

I’ve been learning a lot of new bento making techniques, my favorite at the moment is to use nori punches to make provalone or mozerella cheese slices into lace, you have to make sure to finely scallop the edges, though and it just looks divine. I need to get a digital camera and post proper pictures when I get a chance.
