Argh!

Well, apparently my mother is deeply stupid, as is her boss and both the IT guys working for them. They’ve screwed up a gateway laptop and, to fix it, they re-installed it’s OS plus XP on top of that and didn’t think to wipe it first so it’s problems are all still there only made even stupider by being partially overwritten. So, now that the gateway is unuseable, or so they thought, they gave it back to Laota – only to find that it’s not only useable, but it’s got twice the free memory they think it does so she can play sims to her heart’s content. Sometimes things work out, but still, how irrisponsible!

The major problem with this gateway is that the wireless card no longer works in it, so Laota and I will have to continue sharing a computer for the time being, which isn’t too much of a problem thank the gods.
