CROSSPOSTED FROM Shibuya

I just recieved an early birthday present from Nan and Jon, something that proves without a doubt that I’ve got friends who know me better than I know myself. They’ve given me a text-to-speech reader so that I can read things on my PC without having to actually read them. Why this is such a big deal is that I’ve got severe dyslexia, I can’t even be sure half of what I write is what I meant to write, but fortunately for me and everyone who wants a good laugh, I’m far too lazy to recheck what I’ve written, lol.

Thanks my present I can buy ebooks in txt or pdf ( even doc, I think ) format on ebay or at bookstores and just read along with the text highlighter instead of struggling to get through a paragraph. I’m telling you, with my mind unable to focus since Ragnorok happened last year and my cup of dyslexic fun it’s like being illiterate because it takes me forever to read anything, and I forget what I’ve read a second after I’ve read it or, even though I understand what I’m reading I don’t understand it. Like I’m in some kind of half-dreamlike state, which is sad because I love to read. I need my eyes checked but I know that won’t happen anytime soon, so this is a neat present. Thanks to Jon and Nan!
