Okay the downloads were unavailable – I know this. I want to apologize, I didn’t even know it had happened and I still don’t know what’s going on. It looks like my downloads are all that went down, but the rest of the site didn’t which makes me really worry. :S

Now, onto the extra schtuff. I got a question from Josie about the free templates and I wanted to answer it publicly. The free layouts are free to use, and you can alter the graphics to your heart’s delight but if you use my coding at all you do have to link back to me and give me credit for it. I will have blank-image templates coming soon here, but feel free to do the same with the layouts that are up now and if you’d like something custom please check out PoisonApples.org!

Also, I’ll be adding tutorials to the site in the form of installable ebooks so I won’t have to keep track of the graphics and whatnot. If you’d like to see a specific tutorial, please email me and let me know!

Whoohoo! I’ve claimed ownership of 51 Pegasi b, a planet in the Pegasus constellation! I did it years ago, right after they announced it’s discovery, and now Laota and I have decided it will be our world and we’ll divide it into kingdoms and she’s going to name hers after a hot Japanese guy, lmao.

I wonder if I could legally just go around claiming outer space real estate for myself and become some powerful queen or whatnot? I should look that up, since I feel that I should be able to or there will be fits thrown! Once I get the land all divided up I’ll start admitting pioneers to come settle the unhabitable habitat. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Well, it’s time already – finally! Time for the beautimous Sweeney Todd from the sick, horrible and genius mind of the fabulous Tim Burton. Oh, honey, you don’t even know! I’ve waited forever and ever for this! Laota and I have been gabbing about it non stop, I’ve been a fan of Sweeney Todd for quite a few years and Depp is perfect for the character. He’s got a great craziness about him, lmao. One thing I didn’t know is that Sweeney Todd is already on the net, if you want to check it out you can either visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site or visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace.

I adore Depp, I’ve been a fan of his since Nightmare on Elm Street – yes, that long, and that makes me very, very old, lol. I was watching through 21 Jump Street, Cry Baby, and so on and so forth. I think he did his best work in one of my all-time favorite films, the fantabulous Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas where he perfectly portrayed the amazing, talented and slightly insane Hunter S. Thompson, may he rest in peace. My favorite part of that film, the single greatest scene ( in my opinion ) where Depp is 100% Thompson is the scene in which he’s in his hotel room, talking about the 60s that’s a semi-rare, sentimental and softer side of Thompson and it always makes me tear up a little bit. Depp, as Raoul Duke, delivered these lines perfectly:

“Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas. Has it been five years? Six? It seems like a lifetime, the kind of peak that never comes again. San Francisco in the middle sixties was a very special time and place to be a part of. But no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant.

And that, I think, was the handle – -that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn’t need that. Our energy would simply prevail. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark – that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.”

Tell me that doesn’t make silly, sad feelings well up?

My second favorite Depp moment is, of course, in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. There’s a part, nearing mid-way through t he film, in which Elizabeth Swann ( Keira Knightley ) approaches Jack from behind walking down a dock towards the Pearl when they’re in Tortuga. She tells him she’s looking for Will Turner and he reacts with a bit of hilarious panic, thinking that Elizabeth is a guy, of course, and motions – with that infamous Depp ‘point emphatically’ motioning – for Gibbs to get rid of her.

Elizabeth ( Keira ): “I’m here to find the man I love.”

Jack ( Johnny ): “I’m sorry lad, but my one and only love is the sea.”

I think, though, all in all it’s Duke’s “The Wave” dialogue that’s going to hold onto my heart, I just love that film. Depp’s so insanely talented, it makes me wonder why he hasn’t been this famous all his life. I can’t wait to see Sweeney Todd, Laota and I are going to go as soon as our theater starts showing it. It’s so weird to think of Johnny as a superstar instead of just a teen idol! It’s about damn time, isn’t it?
