Seasonal Decorating

Woohoo! I’ve found my tree ornaments! Yes, this is a big deal, lol, I thought I was going to need to buy new ones because of the flooding this year that ruined about 60% of our possessions but apparently I’d stashed them somewhere in the house, up off the ground and didn’t realize it so they’re 100% fine and ready to put up – sans a little dusting. That’s really all we need so far as decorating, but we may put lights in the window, I’m not sure yet. I don’t want the house looking like Jesus Fest 2007, lol, but I do love lights so I may go ‘all out’ which means one or two strings. I want to ge a wreath, I saw a vanilla and sakura wreath on eBay I may buy, not sure yet, but I know I don’t want holly and pine, lol.

I’m going to start really decorating this week, I think the day after my birthday, and get more Solstice-y stuff up – I just love this time of year. I’ll need egg nog, I know that much and while I can make it myself I really don’t want to, lol. I’m going to be making sugar cookies and my “Better Than Store Bought Icing” – both recipes will be made available here and on Beautiful Sin and Hanamachi Lights, which I hope to have a brand new layout up on very soon.
