Dentemp

I seriously need dental insurance. I’ve never had it, actually, my family was far too poor and, to be honest, my parents didn’t give a crap about either Laota or I, so if we broke a bone – we had to deal with it. Laota has trouble walking ( a scool desk fell over and broke her foot just above the ‘knuckles’ of her toes ), and my wrist and knee got twisted up thanks to a rogue lawnmower tumbling down the steep cliff of a ditch next to the sidewalk and they didn’t even offer to take either of us to a doctor.

Well, I’ve got a worse story for you. It involves the 1980s and a novelty cereal that seriously messed up Laota‘s teeth, and mine, as well. See, this novelty cereal had some small ( shelled walnut and a bit bigger ) sized pieces of machinery ( at least I think that’s what it was ), and it was coated just like the rest of the cereal so I don’t remember even seeing it, but the I was pretty young when this happened. Well, most of my life if I eat anything at all I chew it with the back teeth, call me crazy but it’s a habit, it almost never touches my front teeth and that’s what happened in this case. I got a fairly small, ceral-sized piece, didn’t realize what it was and bit down on it – needless to say it broke one of my back teeth and knocked the filling out of the one above it – that is some painful crap, not to mention I didn’t even want to go back to school because I knew I’d get made fun of for the broken tooth, and it was bad enough where, eventually, I *had* to go to the dentist – my mom couldn’t get around taking me, I was just in too much pain.

I wish I’d known about Dentemp OS back then, I could’ve saved myself a lot of pain and the two teeth ( thank the gods they were way in back ) may not have had to have been pulled from waiting too long to fix them. Where was this when I was a kid? I demand a time machine, lol.
