The Lion and the Rose

I’ve never heard of the The Lion and the Rose Inn, an Asheville bed and breakfast until today, but I’m browsing their web site right now and the pictures of the rooms are absolutely beautiful. They’ve got gorgeous antique furniture, as well as other antiques, and stained glass windows throughout the bed and breakfast. It’s got such an ambience to it, just looking at the pictures of the rooms and beautifully landscaped grounds are enough to make me want to shell out the money to visit it, even if it’s only for one night. It’s not too far from downtown Asheville, either, which makes it a good stop if you’re on vacation and want to stay in an elegant, peaceful setting but still be able to go out to the movies or a dinner out. The rates aren’t bad, either, as little as $160 for a week night stay, plus your room comes with everything you could possibly want no matter which room you choose. You get everything from DVD enabled television and full breakfast, to robes, towels and, my personal favorite, wireless Internet access.
Overall, I’d say it’s one of the better deals I’ve seen, and I used to travel a lot I’ve stayed in a few bed and breakfast inn’s, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one quite so luxurious as Asheville’s The Lion and the Rose, and now I’m scheming because I’ve wet my appetite with pictures and now I just have to see it for myself, lol.
