Free Artwalk

2007 | Uncategorized

This is cool, I’ve never heard of the is before, and I don’t know if you have or not but there’s an event the first weekend of every month in St. Augustine, Florida called an Artwalk. Apparently each St. Augustine Artwalk is sponsored by the cities art galleries and it’s free to visit, you get free parking and you’re basically supposed to guide yourself meaning you aren’t limited by following a tour guide and, honestly, if you’re out viewing art, especially eclectic art ( of which they claim to have the finest collection in North Florida ), you really don’t want to have your experience contained and limited with rules, right? I, personally, never could stand following a tour guide, I always want to sneak away – did you know the tour guides in the SLC Planetarium reprimand you for that? Hehe.

Not only do you get free parking but free Trolley tours, which is exactly what I’d want to go on because, well yeah, Trolley! How cool would that be? There are also free Sightseeing Train tours available, but I think that Trolley would be calling my name – maybe I’ve just seen too many old movies. ( Who Framed Roger Rabbit counts, right? It’s, like, 20 years old, so we’ll just say it does, lol. )
