Moviness!

2007 | Movies, Watching

Well, Laota and I watched Harold and Kumar last night and it triggered a memory for me. There’s something in that film that I’d entirely forgotten about – my harem! John, Kalpen, David, Eddie, Ethan and Neil – my harem of menfolk! Krumholtz and Modi especially. I’m seriously considering cloning them all and making my own home movies, lmao.

I’m waiting impatiently for Harold and Kumar 2, I’ve seen the trailer and it rules! I love that the last few years has grown these hilarious ‘dude’ films, very Animal House in nature while still being extremely timely. My my least favorite of those films, I think, is the fabulous “Knocked Up” ( another film with some of my harem boys, lol. ) which is absolutely hilarious and a bit of a coo for anyone who came of age in the late 1990s – you’ll recognize the entire cast. I’m actually amazed it took Jay Baruchel so long to show up on everyone’s radar. Is it just me, or does he look like he may be a crack baby?

It really looks like Superbad’s going to win out, though, because those kids are hilarious. It’s going to be this generation’s Caddy Shack, meaning you’ll hear about it forever and ever after this. In 20 years, how many dudes do you think will still be quoting, “I am McLovin’”? All of them, that’s how many, lol.
