Credit Cards Scare Me
2007 | Money, Rawr, Safety
I’ve been thinking a lot about getting a second, low-limit credit card for emergencies but I’ve often stopped myself from applying midway through application because I’m deathly afraid of credit cards. I don’t like the idea of debt and, honestly, I often wonder if it’s worth said debt to have the added security of credit cards? I’m really not sure where to begin, either. I don’t know of any legitimate places to go for credit card comparison, I don’t know weither or not I should go for balance transfers, or what kind of card is right for me. I don’t even know what kind of credit limit I should expect, because I’ve only dealt with my Capital One in the past, and I’d recommend it to anyone.
I think, though, that it may be far too easy to get a credit card, which I say because a girl who lives on my block has a card with a huge limit that she’s really abusing, and she’s never had a job in her life – in fact, she’s 18 and living with her parents, not working. How does that even happen??
