Movie Review: Spiral
2007 | Movies, Watching
Movie Review Time! I just saw an awesome film, Japanese horror – a tad older than I’m used to watching. It’s called Uzumaki or Spiral, and it’s about a spiral curse that starts with a boy in middle school in a small town falling down a spiral staircase, sparking the beginning of a horrible freak fest centered around spirals coming to a head in the eye of a creepy hurricain.
The story was creepy, effects kind of gorey and easy to follow. The acting was a bit melodramatic and the guys weren’t nearly hot enough for me to look the other way about that, lol. But overall it was fun and scary, and I can’t say much more without giving everything away, you’ll just have to watch it.
On a scale from one ( worst/Dead Silence ) to ten ( best/Ringu ), this one scored about a high six or low seven. Definately worth the rental if you’re into films like Whispering Corridors.
