Ick, stupid fights!

Whoo, got a lot more done than I thought I would today, including getting bitched at by a family member because I didn’t want to have a 5 hour arguement with her about me thinking she meant something she didn’t mean in an off-handed remark earlier this week. I even said, right at the beginning, that she could be right – maybe I misunderstood what she was saying. You’d think that would end the fight, wouldn’t you? Oh, no, that would be way too easy. I just don’t want to argue with her, and she doesn’t consider it arguing to fight over a point until it’s a nub and, because of that, if I don’t want to ‘talk’ with her for hours on end until I end up a nervous wreck, I’m the one with the problem. Apparently I’m emotionally unavailable, I’m distant, nobody can ever win with me and I’m a dick and an ass**le, all because I don’t want to fight with her over something she said that I took the wrong way ( unless she said it and meant it, in which case I still have to say I took it the wrong way because she can never be wrong ). *sigh* I need a vacation.
