Where The Heart Is

I miss New York. If you’ve ever been, or ever lived there, then I know you share my whininess, lol. There aren’t any words to describe how amazing that city is, it’s like a little country all by itself. The first time I was in New York, not just passing through it. It was too long ago and the tour bus of the band my mom was promoting at the time was so bumpy and jerky that I couldn’t sleep for most of the night we were on the road, and I remember being awake when we passed Time’s Square, it was probably 4 in the morning but you’d swear it was the middle of a work day with all the people bustling around and that shaped my view of the city to the point where, for years afterward, I planned my adult life around living there.

I’ve thought about visiting a million times, and I’d probably go on a Trusted Tours and Attractions sightseeing tour and see the sights, maybe take in a show, which would be cool to do as a group since I’ve got quite a few friends who live in the NYC area. Now, California is Laota‘s home state, she was born in Orange County and we’ve had plans to go back for more years than I can remember, but New York was always my home in my heart and someday I plan to go back there to stay. I’ve been there quite a few times in my life, and I’m always sad to leave, but I know I need to visit all the places I want to visit before going back to NYC because I know for sure that the next time I go back it’ll hook me, and I won’t be able to leave lol.
