Diet Pepsi Super Bowl 2008 Ads
2008 | TV, Video
I was just watching the new Super Bowl 2008 commercial for Diet Pepsi Max, of which I’m not a fan even though I’m a die-hard Pepsi fanatic, and it’s *hilarious*. The first of the hip hop cameos that caught my attention in the parody of SNL’s “Roxbury Guys” sketch ( which featured the immortal “What is Love” by Enigma Haddaway ) is none other than Missy, only my single favorite artist in the genre, quickly followed by Luda, possibly one of the greatest rapper’s of all time, who doesn’t appear in the video from what I saw. But I’m getting off track – I do that sometimes, lol.
I also saw LL Cool J, Macy and the ever delicious Busta Rymes all flexing their acting muscles as themselves, now with less pep, until, that is, Diet Pepsi Max comes into their lives. This one ought to be one of the more popular Pepsi commercials in recent memory, definately one of the better campaigns! These guys are the classics, still hot after years in the public eye, and if you’re a fan you can get their ringtones as well as video tones, wallpapers, games, wigets, etc., over at Playphone.com, which is worth the browse to check out all the neat stuff they’ve got going on up there. Not too expensive either, which is weird since that kind of thing is usually scary costly.
At any rate, I think they’re going to sell a lot of Diet Pepsi Max at the Super Bowl this year, lol.
