Cancelled TV
2008 | Uncategorized
I’ve found through Netflix, as of recent, that a lot of the TV shows that have been canceled in the last decade h ave been fully worthwhile and amazing shows, and it’s starting to irk me. It’s like people *want* to watch crap! Is that it? Hmm? Is that what you want?
Ask yourself this: Why did the likes of Charmed and Stargate get 8 seasons on the air (one more season than the amazing Buffy the Vampire Slayer, might I add), and gems like Angel and Farscape were cut down in their prime? Why is it that there have been seven million seasons of American Idol and hail crap like Quarterlife when the absolutely delicious Undeclared, Firefly, Freaks and Geeks and Life As We Know It fall victim to the cutting room floor after one season? Why bother asking critics if you don’t care what they think, Mr. I’d Rather Watch Laguna Beach Than Critically Acclaimed Television?
I don’t know why I get so crazy about this, all I know is that I’ve always more or less been a big fan of the writers, first and foremost, so non-writing or crappy writing that gets praise drives me crazy.
Yes, I’m angry for no reason, lol.
