Lifelock Sued? WTF?

2008 | Uncategorized

Okay, if you’re a regular reader of Beautiful Sin, then you remember that awhile ago I posted about Lifelock and how, for a small price ( I think it was $10/month ) they promise to go the extra mile and provide you with identity theft protection. Well, as it turns out the Credit Reporting Agencies, especially the ones at the top, aren’t too happy with this. See, one of the biggest Credit Reporting Agencies,- I think it says it’s in the top three, – is actually sueing Lifelock!

See, Experian, I think it’s called, is ticked off that Lifelock is placing fraud alerts for members which cost Experien money to set each one, and they claim that credit laws limit this type of third party action – of course, they’re just ticked they’re losing that money. They can’t be too thrilled that Lifelock puts the kabosh on junk mail and whatnot by opting it’s members out of those types of things. If you didn’t know already, credit bureaus actualy sell your information to credit card companies, etc., which is how you get ‘pre-approved’. Can you believe that? I hope Lifelock wins their case, because that’s just nuts! If you’re reading this, I hope you go check THIS ARTICLE out, and please do your best to familiarize yourself with your own credit!
