Crazy in L.A.

2008 | Uncategorized

L.A. may be one of the most fun, most wired and most beautiful cities I think I’ve ever been to in my entire, silly life. We’d lived there on and off for years at a time, and my sister was born in Orange County, California so we had a lot of ties to the area and we’d go up and down the coast for family vacation ideas, going everywhere from Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm in Anaheim to the amazing San Diego zoo in fabulous San Diego, which you need to go to if you’ve never been.

One thing I learned early on is that you can’t be bored there. It’s literally entirely impossible for you to run out of things to do in Los Angeles, you likely couldn’t if you lived a hundred years and there’s always something wild happening, especially if you go with friends.

I remember this one time when I was a 14, we visited my step sister when she lived in L.A. after she seperated from her husband ( they’re back together now, have been for a decade ), and we decided to go to a juice bar downtown and this girl kept bothering my step sister. She’d come over and sit at our table or try and whisper something to my sis, and finally my sister goes, “What is your problem? Are you in love with me?” and, hand to Odin, the woman looked so surprised at the sound of my sister’s voice and said, “Oh, I’m sorry miss, I thought you were a man!” – that’s it, she just got up and left the table after that. My sis was mortified, and I don’t blame her!

A great way to see Los Angeles is to go with Trusted Tours & AttractionsSign Up for their eNewsLetter, which automatically enters you to win an IPOD Nano, but you better hurry – the contest ends March 31st, 2008!
