I’m in love with Oysters. You can only get the canned kind out here, and I’m partial to smoked in cottonseed oil ( and so is my cat, Shortcake, who’s outside right now eating a can I bought her for a treat ), but I much prefer fresh Gulf oysters. I kind of wish you could get them out here, but meh.
Oysters and pearls are kind of synonymous, and I’m right there with you – pearls are lovely – but am I the only person who thinks that oysters should consider producing a lot more oyster meat instead? Yes, this is the cheapskate in me talking, but I’m in love with oysters and the only problem I’ve got with them is that they aren’t nearly big enough, lol. When it comes to seafood and shellfish, I’m a pig, I can admit it!
