Redeu-ai – Finally!
2008 | Uncategorized
YES! Netflix took their sweet time but I’ve just gotten the alert email letting me know that Redeu-ai has been shipped out to me! I’ve been waiting for almost a year to get my hands on that film, and this one’s a big deal since I’m running out of Asian horror films due to the sheer amount I watch, lol.
Redeu-ai ( Red Eye ) is a haunted train film, and unlike the misleading name of Ghost Train ( which is fabulous, btw ), the train is actually haunted from what I gather. I found something about about myself while watching Kairo – I’m afraid of trains, lol.
Another film they’re sending today is The Namesake with Kalpen Modi from Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, for which he’s won a lot of honorable mention and I think several awards. The Namesake is a book adaption, and I hear it’s a really good one, I’ve been wanting to see it for a long time. Speaking of Kal, I also hear Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay is coming out next week. Joy!
Speaking of powerful films ( The Namesake, you cheese head, not Harold and Kumar! ), if you get a chance check out The War Within, it’s really moving and beautiful, definately worth the rental price.
