Keep ‘em Coming Back

2008 | Uncategorized

I generally don’t promote my personal blogs, nor do I really think about marketing them all that much, but a friend of mine and I are working on a secret joint production mini downloads business and we’ll have a joint blog as the main focus of the site, and now that it’s a business situation we’re looking for ways to bring our visitors back time and time again.

Well, I’ve known about Zookoda for awhile, but I’d never signed up because I never thought I’d need it, but it looks like I’ll get a chance to play with it after all! I can’t wait, because I’m new to blog marketing, I’ve really never tried it and I’m kind of nervous that I’ll flub it up, lol.

Zookoda is sort of like a newsletter service for bloggers, email marketing is what they call it. The idea behind this is that your visitors sign up for your email newsletter and then you can send them a weekly or monthly summary of your blog, up to the minute, via email and give them plenty of reasons to get their butts back to your blog and read the rest. You can manage subscribers, use custom subscription forms, design the newsletter layout, even let mobile users in on the fun with text format newsletters! Plus it’s absolutely free and you’ve got nothing to worry about privacy or safety-wise, because Zookoda is brought to you by the fabulous IZEA, the people who bring you PayPerPost and IZEARanks, and I can vouch for them being on the up and up – if they say it’s free, then it’s free. How can you ask for more than that? :)

BEFORE YOU COMMENT: Please understand that, though I'm all for free speech, I'm also busy and downright mean. Because of this I will not tolerate offensive, inappropriate or hateful comments. I'll warn you and delete the offensive part, but if you repeat the offense I'll probably ban you from the domain. I'm sorry, but I just don't have time for spam, racism, and so on and so on. Just to note: What I find offensive? Is what we'll call offensive, this being my blog and all. ;)
