Celebrating a Quirky Mom

2008 | Uncategorized

I don’t know what to do for Mother’s Day, it’s been driving me crazy for months. My mother’s hard to buy for, and to be honest we don’t have a good relationship, but I always try and do something for her but this year I can barely afford to eat so I don’t know what I’m going to do.

I want to go with flowers and a nice dinner but I can’t afford both, although I could go with 1800Flowers as a cure for the mother’s day blues. They’ve got about everything there, and I’m personally in love with the wide variety of simple classics, but my mom’s never been a Holly Golightly, she’s more of a – well, do you remember Fran’s mom on The Nanny? That’s kind of how her style is, and no I’m not kidding, lol. We’re talking gold lame, sparkles, sequin, big hair, the works, which is why I like the idea of 1800Flowers “Celebrate Mom For Who She Is Contest”, because my mom’s a bit on the quirky side.

And a quirky mom deserves a quirky gift, right? And they have plenty of those. While I’m partial to the spring fruit towers ( I love towers! ), I think I’ve hit the jackpot with the Chocolate Pampering Tote for Mom, and look, it’s on sale!
