Wildest Adventure – Not!

2008 | Travel

People assume that Las Vegas is a wild city, but around Anaheim and other parts of greater Los Angeles, it can get pretty intense! There’s a lot to do out there if you know ehre to look, and that’s no problem if you check out various sightseeing tours in major cities, but some of the most fun, silly or just plain weird stuff happens at the everyday tourist destinations like Knotts Barry Farm and Disneyland.

Actually, Disneyland is the site of one of the weirdest happenings I’ve ever experienced on vacation. When I was sixteen and Laota was fourteen we were checked into the Disneyland Pacific Hotel in Anaheim, and we were poking around the Magic Kingdom. We went to all our favorite haunts, in fact we had a system – we’d always get on the Disneyland Railroad at Mainstreet USA and ride the train to New Orlean’s Square, at which point we’d depart and head to the Haunted Mansion, have breakfast at Le Petite Pastry (I probably spelled that wrong) then head to the Pirates of the Caribbean. After that it was always a free for all, and we’d be very random about it.

Well, this particular day we were making our rounds and we’d just gotten into the Haunted Mansion’s portrait gallery (not the stretch gallery, the part where the portraits morph – actually, it may be called the Morphing Gallery, but I don’t know for sure.) and there were a couple of guys in their twenties there cutting up like 10 year olds, so we proceeded to make a lakeload of fun of them, lol. Immediately after we left the ride, we realized they were following us, and when we got into the line for Pirates of the Caribbean they were right behind us. They struck up a conversation about nothing and boarded one of the boats with us instead of sitting behind us like we’d asked them to, and one of the guys was pretending to know all about the rides because he worked there, rather than the fact that he probably had no job and was just going on the rides so many times he memorized them, and then out of the blue they get grabby – very grabby.

Well, when they found out how old we were, one of the guys backed off but the other didn’t. In fact, he really didn’t to the point of us having to make a quick escape, lol. Granted, this isn’t a very wild story, but I’m a fairly not-wild girl, so this is just one of the weirdest vacation stories I’ve got! Ick!

If you’re like me and you haven’t got any truly wild stories (I really don’t think you want to hear about the times I was homeless, lol!), then maybe you should make some?
