Long Way Down

I dare you to tell me you’re not an Ewan McGregor fan, I know you are! How can you not be? Despite not being uber visible as of late, he’s managed to maintain his A-list status in Hollywood by being an all around great actor instead of having to be on the front page of every newspaper – in short, if you heard about a new McGregor film, you’ll likely go because it sounds good rather than for who’s in it. Those who aren’t McGregor fans may find themselves watching one of his films anyway, because if you say you’re also not a fan of motorcycles, well, either you’re lying or I don’t want to know you, lol.
For those who are fans of both, you can check out
Ewan McGregor’s Long Way Down – a film made with motorcycle enthusiast/actor Charley Boorman as they travel from Scotland to Capetown, South Africa with little more than their BMW motorcycles and a few supplies to get them through.
“There is something liberating about just having what you need, on your bike,” said McGregor. “A tent, a roll mat, a little bit of food, a bit of petrol in your tank and a vague idea of where you’re going and that’s all you need. There is something beautiful about that.”
You don’t have much of a chance to see this in the theater, though, because it’s theatrical release is literally a one day deal on July 31 of this year in select theaters nationwide. You can check out Long Way Down over at their Myspace page and maybe grab the trailer and spread the word if you’re as excited about this as I am.

Just to note: What I find offensive? Is what we'll call offensive, this being my blog and all. ;)
