She Thinks Their Tractors are Sexy

Well, now I’ve heard every damn thing ever. Even after all of this bullshit – the debt, the war, the poor judgment – my mother is still a staunch Republican, and it’s not even because she’s an idiot ( which she kind of is, but that’s another show ) – it’s because she’s weak. My mom suffers from poor self esteem, which a lot of people suffer from and it’s no fun and all that good rot, but her way of dealing with it is really dangerous. She treats anyone with a little power like royalty. Agrees with them, kisses their ass, heck she’ll even switch political parties to suit their tastes. ANYTHING to make them like her.

Which means that while my mom’s been a Democrat all of my life, the last few years have seen her turn to the Republican party because in the boonies that’ what the Popular Kids, aka Soccer Mom Majority do. These are also the same exact people who believe the world is less than 10,000 years old and that a dude in the sky created them and gave them dominance over the dark skinned natives. Seriously, let’s not listen to these people. As Willow Rosenberg once famously said – let’s have another hope.
