Holiday Shopping Blues

ARGH, I already feel like I’m late starting my holiday shopping. It seems like everyone I know – family and friends – have either already started or, big surprise, completely finished their shopping for this season and I don’t know how they did it. I’m dragging my feet!

My big issue with holiday shopping is that I live at about the poverty line and while I never have to deal with debt ( I’m too afraid of money to go into debt, lol ), I may as well be with how little I actually make. Because of that, what I need is an option like Kmart Layaway where I can purchase gifts and pay for them over time instead of having to make big purchases all at once. Not only can I pick them up before Christmas (no having to hide gifts!) but as far as I know I won’t be over spending with a ton of credit interest or going into any debt, and I hate the idea of going into debt.

What I’d love to get Laota ( my sister ) from KMart is one of those Sylvania 32″ LCD HDTV televisions she’s had her eye on forever and ever. They aren’t that expensive compared to what they used to cost, but still too rich for my blood ( can’t make a big payment like that all at once! ), so paying over time would be ideal.
