The Freezies

Jeebus it’s cold. I can’t even sleep due to the need for a heater, a real heater not this tiny space heater that doesn’t really heat squat. Ours won’t come on, no heat period plus freezing cold water because our pilot won’t stay lit. At least it keeps the gas bill down but it makes it literally painful to take a shower – like being stabbed with needles all over your body just to get under the shower.

So basically what’s going on now is that we’re having to boil water in small batches and fill up an ice bucket, then wash down with that and try and quick rinse with the freezing water which I’ve become both accustom to and fed up with at the same time. Something’s gotta give.

But anyway, we’re hoping to get someone to look at the heater and figure out why it doesn’t work. Yarg, one more bill. We also need the pilot on the water heater lit, and just pray it stays on.
