Heat Is Expensive

2008 | Electronics, Home and Garden, Money

Whoo, well my neighbor’s in the basement as we speak trying to tinker with the furnace to see if we can’t get the damn thing to work without having to replace it or buy parts for it or something, because the bitch has been seriously been a pain in the ass for everyone in the house, most importantly me, lol.

If we can get that hot water turned on, and maybe some actual heat? I would be in friggin’ Valhalla. Do you have any idea how long it’s been since I’ve been able to take a shower that didn’t involve me using my electric kettle to boil 6 quarts of water to put in an ice bucket that I could use to bathe? I’m getting tired of that, and my skin’s not thanking me for it.

Unfortunately, it looks like the PC board on the furnace is screwed up because of the sheer amount of flash floods we’ve had that waterlogged everything in the basement, and those things cost like $100-$200 each which is something I can’t afford, but I guess we’ll have to figure out how to make due somehow.

Even if we can afford it they won’t get the part in for like a week at least. So we’ve got a week of freezing, then a big price tag. Stupid Missouri. Stupid house. Stupid winter.
