Be Someone’s Hero
2008 | Gifts and Giving, Holidays
Since it’s the holiday season, and I fully intend to sound like a broken record, but if you haven’t yet checked out the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry I really wish you would. The idea behind this program is to meet Christmas/winter and basic needs to the families of our beloved troops who’ve given so much to us. Isn’t it about time we gave something back?
I thought you might agree with me there! What’s great about this program, other than the miracle that it even exists, is that the Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry is so easy to give to. You make a donation ( I’m sorry but because of the nature of these donations all of the money that’s donated to the Sears Wish Registry is not tax-deductible. ) and Sears does the rest, providing warm and fuzzy PJs, clothes, slippers,- you name it,- to the families of the men and women who’ve laid down their own lives to protect our freedoms and way of life without any thanks, sometimes in the worst of conditions. There’s nothing about helping that isn’t positive, and I know it’s a hard time to give economically, but I’m sure some of you will be able to find a little extra cash that you wouldn’t mind putting towards a good cause!![]()
