Heroes At Home

2008 | Family, Gifts and Giving, Holidays

If you didn’t have time or didn’t know about Sears Heroes at Home Wish Registry and Christmas has passed you by, don’t fret because it’s not too late to donate something to help the families of real life heroes who have given up everything for our country and for the freedoms we take for granted every day.

As many of you know already, I’m opposed to the current war that’s being waged in Iraq and I know a lot of people confuse being anti war with not supporting our troops but that’s just not the case at all. The brave men and women in our armed forces are some of the only real, truly epic heroes left in the world and even if I don’t support the war I’m 100% behind our troops and I want only the best for them and their families. I’m sure you feel the same way which is why I know when you find out how much a small, non tax-deductible contribution from you can help the families of our troops weather the winter and the holiday season, you’ll want to help any way you can.

See, what the Heroes at Home Wish Registry does is this. You make a donation to the registry through Sears to ‘purchase’ items like pajamas, shoes, etc. that can be donated to the needy families of those who are fighting overseas. It’s a win-win situation, and it doesn’t have to be Christmas to give.

Just to note: What I find offensive? Is what we'll call offensive, this being my blog and all. ;)
