Christmas and Thanksgiving are over, it’s starting to feel more like 2009 now that the new year is so far behind us, and it definately feels like the holidays have come to an end but my budget tells me they haven’t yet.
I’m lucky, my boyfriend isn’t overseas fighting with our troops but there are a lot of women and men who are missing their better half and Valentine’s day is coming up so fast. A phonecall to our boys overseas must cost a fortune, and I kind of wonder if Iraq phone cards would help at a time like this? I can’t even stand my boy being as far away as he is, so my heart really goes out to those who don’t even know if their loved one will ever come home.
Thank the gods that my budget doesn’t have to include international calling cards, but calling cards none the less, because The Boyfriend lives almost exactly half a country away from me and the distance between us is a monster when it comes to phone bills and postage. It’s worth it, though, to hear his voice.
