Britney Spears Drops the “F” Bomb?

Holy crap this is funny! I don’t know what it is about hearing that Britney Spears is the apparent criminal mastermind behind another only imagined scandal ( says Rolling Stone ), but it always makes me giggle!

I’m sure you’ve already heard about this, but one of her songs entitled “If You Seek Amy” supposedly spells out a naughty phrase if you drop letters. Yeah, you have to drop letters to make it spell the phrase in the first place. Even if it was meant that way, wtf does that say about the people who figured it out? How much time do you have on your hands to devote to Britney frigging Spears?

Okay, granted I’m the very last person to ever be an actual advocate for Britney Spears – in fact, to be honest, I can’t stand her to the point of wanting to take a black sharpie to the television screen every time she’s on it (see, I blame her and Ron Pearlman for killing 90s alternative in favor of bubblegum pop’s comeback, even though I know that’s really narrowing down the suspects lol), but the song? REALLY not that racy. I blame Janet Jackson for this – since when is our country so… light in the ass? I mean, yes, it’s no “Walking on Sunshine” but since when is Spears known for her tame, non sexual image? Is it just me, or are people nitpicking here?

Personally, if the woman were to disappear forever I doubt it would make me jump for joy but I’d at least have a four year smirk on my face. But that said, why cause a big controversy where there really isn’t one? Seriously, people, listen to her other singles if you can stomach them, and then tell me this one is worse.
