New House! New House!

I’m tickled pink, Jon and Nan‘s new place is gorgeous (I should get permission and post some photos!), it’s spacious and sunny with a big lawn and a pool. With two kids they’re so going to need all that space! It’s so much better than the old place, which was smaller, dingier and way more expensive. Plus, after Sorchea’s hospital bills (she was born 2 months prematurely) they had to mortgage their house just to stay afloat and it ended up being so expensive and messy, and I know Nan was always afraid they’d lose the house.

I think the problem is they didn’t go with a high end lender, because when they bought their home there weren’t all these great places on the internet like Amerisave to get the best rates from. It’s really not fair that they went through what they did, and you know they couldn’t afford to get a new place until very recently because they barely paid that mortgage back (and Sorchea is 9, you do the math!).
