The Valentine’s Issue
2009 | Holidays
The Boyfriend and Valentine’s Day. This is a huge dilemma. Why? Because this dude is super freaking cryptic, lol. He’s an over acheiver at listening, the fact that he bought me a bento and a Norse Helm necklace for my last birthday (I’m a bento-c
razed Odinist, so there you go.) just proves my point. Unfortunately, no matter how much I concentrate on listening to him, in the end I come up empty handed and have to point blank ask him what he wants, lol. He just doesn’t talk about the things he wants all that much – in fact, he doesn’t talk much at all.
I’ve thought of everything from a fruits and nuts gift box so as not to disturb the health conditions, to flowers but that’s so traditionally a woman’s gift that I’d almost feel bad getting it for him. One thing I hadn’t considered is a nice watch from BlueDial. They’ve got some great casio watches, though I have to admit I’m not a big fan of watches in general, but these are so gorgeous you can’t help but lust after them and fantasize about one day robbing a bank and blowing your ill gotten money on watches, lol.
Some of these are amazing, like the Bulova 96G59 Men’s Stainless Steel Chronograph Black Dial, but to be honest I think they’re a tad too fancy for him. These are very classy, very elegant, but he’s kind of an old school goth rocker type, and while the watches are amazing (and well priced!), I just don’t think they’re right for him. Now me, however. That’s a different story…
