Evolution or Spirituality?

2009 | Random

I read an interesting post about evolution and spirituality over at Occult View and it’s something I’ve thought a lot about and I’ve come, in recent years, to an odd yet satisfying conclusion. I don’t suppose I’m going to sound smart saying this, lol, but I’ve always found a balance by entirely separating my belief in evolution from my religious beliefs and somehow they’ve found harmony together.

Factually a lot of heathen beliefs find their way into science ( Earth=Mother/fertile planet, Sun=Father/energy source for fertile planet, Moon is a god that controls the tides and regulates seasons/pull literally controls our tides and regulates our seasons thereby making life as we know it possible ), though viewed a bit more coldly I’d say.

I don’t think it’s at all disharmonious to say that the Gods do what they do and the universe does what it does, and they don’t have to make sense together. They don’t have to not make sense together. Proving a scientific theory doesn’t necessarily extinguish the light of belief, and I think people who get angry over their belief systems being challenged (we all know who I’m talking about, lol) are people who don’t have a grasp on what real faith is. Which is why they have to be baited and rewarded to live a good life instead of just living that way because that’s the way grown ups behave. Wow, that sounded bitter (it was), lol.
