Hot Days Ahead

on’t get me wrong, it’s not that I hate summer – I do, but that’s not the point, lol – it’s just that there aren’t any decent places here to go for a swim. The pool is about the width of two parking spaces and it’s always crammed with way too many kids, you really can’t even swim there. And in a climate like Missouri has the only decent part of these super hot, super humid summers is the chance to cool off and have fun – but the way things are here, it’s just impossible.
So, basically, there’s no reason for me to even own a swimsuit at all, because I have no chance of going for a decent swim. Back in Utah we lived just over a mile from a huge, Olympic-sized indoor pool that was almost never crowded. It would have been worth paying a bit extra for designer swimwear from The Orchid Boutique, which has some awfully gorgeous suits including the fabulous Lala Monokini, a style that’s been a popular trend these last two seasons. Honestly, it’s a bit to revealing for my tastes but the colors are gorgeous and I can see how someone would be drawn to that style – very becoming (picture to the left). Personally, I’m boring, lol. Give me a one piece black 40s number with polka dots and I’m happy!
