MY Dream Wedding?

As I think we all know by now Faith does not believe in marriage. I’m a get the milk for free kind of girl and have a giant, swinging castration complex that keeps me at a safe distance from structured romance. That being said, I’m not really against it, in fact I think it’s a great life choice for those who choose that lifestyle, it’s just not for me. I’ve got a lot of ‘couple’ friends who are happily married and almost restore my faith in the whole affair by their example.

To be honest I’ve never thought that much on what my wedding would be like. I think I probably did when I was a little kid, but I can’t really remember doing it and have no memories of what my ideal wedding would be like so I’ll pull something out of thin air here. I think I’d like, if I ever did get married, for the ceremony to be a an outdoor ritual Handfasting in the tradition of my people with an elaborate, very worldly reception that plays more like an after party than a cheesy get together with chicken dances, lol.

I’m not really into wedding favors, but I remember Jon and Nan‘s wedding had goody bags with runes and Mjöllnir pewter pendants that were just adorable, but that’s one of those things they had the ability to do since all of their friends are Pagans or Heathens and no one would be offended. Unfortunately I’ve got a few Christian friends and I don’t have that luxury, so if I were to get wedding favors I think I’d go with something cute and edible, because everyone appreciates chocolates, right?

I think my wedding would be perfect, 100% perfect, if the cake were huge and there were no champagne, lol. Huge cake – white, white icing. No champagne. I hate champagne, so let’s go with Irish Cream. What do you say?
