Top Mommy Bloggers List

Yes, I know that everyone has their own thoughts on MommyBlogging. Some think it’s over the line, some think it doesn’t go far enough and some call MommyBloggers a bunch of fame whores who are in it for the money.

Sadly the last of these has become the case for people who are just now getting into MommyBlogging, and that sucks because there are some great ones out there who (despite oversharing somtimes – your kids won’t thank you for that later!) they truly love their children and provide a great resource for people who are looking for someone who’s been there already to help them through the touch and tender moments of parenthood.

Because I think MommyBlogging’s gotten a bad rap, I’ve decided to compile a list of my favorites, starting at the tippy top!

#1 Motherhood Uncensored

What I love about this website is that, even if she does severly overshare on occasion, she’s so preoccupied with keeping her kids physically and emotionally healthy that it radiates from her blog like rays of sunshine. Granted, eventually her overshare would likely give your average kid nightmares, I think her parenting techniques will raise children emotionally healthy enough to handle it.

#2 Dooce

If the MommyBlogosphere has a Somebody, it’s Dooce, who’s about as high profile as Brangelina when it comes to the child rearing world. She’s sometimes witty, rarely too testy and often times helpful. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, her current post on child vaccinations is a great place to get to know her blogging style.

#3 What Was I THINKING?

Margalit is one of those rare MommyBloggers who manages to be both level headed and quick tongued enough to keep up with her readers. I don’t suppose you could really call her a MommyBlogger in the traditional sense, since her blog is mostly about her and not about raising her 16 year olds, but she deserves mention for a fab blog none the less!
