Swimsuit Season is Here!

It’s still frigid here, even though it’s already may. I hate that! I hate that in NW Missouri it goes from freezing to sweltering and back with no chance of it ever being a normal, comfortable temperature – plus the bugs and humidity when it actually is warm are murder!

Even though it’s still so cold here, I’m itching to get out and about and treat my days like it’s already summer time. Technically, being a Heathen who’s just passed Beltane, it is summer, but that’s beside the point – I’d like summer weather. Actually, let me rephrase that, I’d like Anaheim summer weather. I miss it so much there, I miss being able to go out (there’s literally no place to go here), go jogging, go to the beach which we used to do all the time when we lived in L.A. – I miss being me and having fun.

I think what would make the summer feel more like I’m home this year is if I were to find a way to make time to go swimming in the horrible, tiny swimming pool up by the rec center. Granted, it’s always full of screaming kids and the weather’s never nice enough for the walk up there (it’s 4 miles, all uphill on one lane, well trafficked roads with no sidewalks – fun!) but I think it would do me some good. What I need to do is get a new swimsuit.

I was checking out AMI Clubwear’s swimsuit section and they’ve got the most adorable suits up for you to browse through/buy – my favorite of which is the gorgeous Brown Floral V-Neck Halter Tankini that I’ve decided I’ll die if I don’t buy. Die! Everything there is so cute – some a bit too revealing, but I’ve always been more of a Rockabilly girl so you can imagine what my bathing suits have looked like to this point, lol! They have some amazing deals, too, generally you’d expect to pay $50 or more for a decent suit, especially online. I almost want to curse them for making me lust after all of their gorgeous clothes!
