Celebrity Sightings In…. Florida?

You know what’s kind of annoying? When your friends are celebrity crazy. Many of my friends follow anyone on Twitter with the name of a celeb they like and that kind of creeps me out, lol. But there are a few that have genuine encounters that are really cool – like recently my friend Natalie got to visit with Corey “The Haim” Haim a few days ago (I’ll post a pic or two if she lets me) while they were filming a scene on her parents property – very cool!

Other than stuff like that, it’s never really appealed to me, but there have been some awesome celebrity sightings in Central Florida recently – namely of the Transformers variety. When Transformers 2 was filming there was a lot of hubub surrounding the Autobots (the cars, at least) turning up everywhere from Miami to Orlando while filming the early production scenes (I believe this was before they shipped the actors off to Egypt). My friend John who worked for awhile at one of the many Disney resorts said he swears he saw the Camero that portrays the transformed Bumblebee not too far from Kissimmee, Florida last September. Personally, I would’ve been more excited to run into a certain deliscious non-car Transformers star, but since I’m fairly sure he lives in L.A. I think I’ve gotten off track.

I’m really not amped to meet anyone, but if I were to pick someone in Florida I think it would be a toss up between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and the fricking awesome David “Davey” Jones of The Monkees fame – in fact I’d love to be a fly on the wall at a film press conference or something, just to see how the system works. Yes I am *very* old, lol.
