Hicksmart in Sticksville – Upgraded!

Okay, if you live with enough privilage and luxury to be in a town or city large enough to have mega marts, then this may seem like a weird thing to be giddy about but I live in the middle of nowhere so I’ve just got to squeel about it for a minute!

The tiny little store in my town is starting to get groceries – real groceries! Not just candy bars and potato chips, we’re talking everything from orange juice and balongia to green tea and cereal!

Now, granted, there’s not a huge variety there but my sister and I live hand to mouth most of the time and because of that we spend out days thirsty and badly nurished. It may sound like it doesn’t mean much but we could really do with a glass of milk on occasion, or something new that they just got in today – bread! Okay, so it’s not gourmet dark chocolate from Gertrude Hawk, but at least it’s something, right? Baby steps for now, we’ll hope we get to the dark chocolate and possibly produce later!
