I’m Obsessing…
2009 | Holidays, Money, Travel
I’m obsessing lately, ever since Beltane, over vacations. I can’t even go, but I’m in this state of mind where I feel like I have to or I’ll explode. I’m not really looking for your ordinary getaway, though I’ll take anything at this point.
I know a lot of the country (USA) heads to amusement parks for their vacations. Those lucky duckies who, unlike me, are not landlocked by lack of money and transportation, unfortunately doomed to spend eternity smack dab in the middle of Tornado Alley. Those people have probably never considered heading to New Jersey for their vacations. Why, because you’ve never heard of New Jersey amusement parks? You’ve never been on a New Jersey Vacation? Where have you been living!?
It may not be known nation wide, but you can actually spend your vacation time doing real vacation things (beach, water parks, etc.) by taking your family on a lovely Jersey Shore beach vacation. Morey’s Peirs which are a little bit of heaven in the sand, beach front water parks with everything from roller coasters to water slides. Argh, it makes me jealous of anyone who can go on Wildwood vacations! I can’t even afford a pack of hot dogs right now, but I’d give my right foot to go to Morey’s Piers and walk on their famous boardwalk.
Actually, if you can go and you act fast you may be in for a treat. There’s a Radio Disney Concert Series, studded by top Radio Disney stars, that’s going to be in Wildwood from the end of June on through to the end of August. You can find out more on their website, along with finding a vast resource of great hotels. Ugh, jealous! Jealous of everyone!
