It’s A Blu World!

2009 | Freebies, Games, Music, Rawr, Travel, ZEN

Has anyone out there ever tried BluFrog energy drink? I haven’t heard it talked about a lot in the media, but I got a sample of that stuff in the mail eons ago and I had to force myself to taste it because I hate the taste of energy drinks but BluFrog was really good! It’s really smooth for an energy drink, so that really surprised me. Anyway, I’m getting way off the point, lol.

I brought up BluFrog because ItsABluWorld.com is running an awesome Tweet To Win contest for it’s visitors, which you need to go check out because some of the prizes they’re offering for this contest are so freaking cool! You can win everything in this contest from grand trips – like to Winter X Games in Aspen, Lollapalooza in Chicago or New York City (on New Year’s Eve!), – to great prize packs like a Xbox 360 Elite Gaming System plus Rock Band 2. Personally, if I had to choose one, it would definitely be hard! I’d say it’s between the New Year’s Even in NYC trip (which I may conveniently disappear during and never come back, lol) and the Xboz 360 Elite bundle, even though I’m not a big fan of Rock Band 2. Git your bum over to ItsABluWorld.com (remember to read the OFFICIAL RULES) and get yourself entered!

Some Thoughts on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

| Movies, Reviews, Watching

I’m, like, over giddy. I got to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (and my beloved, yes I am still harping on about that lol) on opening day and I love it! It needs to be out on DVD already, lol.

Okay, granted, T2′s not exactly what you’d call a ‘cerebral’ film and it lacks depth, as so many of Michael Bay’s productions do, but for a big explosions, hot twenty-somethings summer popcorn movie it was really, really good. It’s fun and I loved all the new Decepticons (ones I missed from my childhood like Soundwave), though I do think that Bay’s babies, the whigger-esque Ice Cream Truck twins had the most awful Furby-like faces I’ve ever seen in my life, and the whigger aspect went beyond what was needed for the joke.

Alice, the Isabel Lucas character, is hyped up too much for her small role in the film. Still Fox was fun, as were the Witwicky’s, Leo’s a nice new addition, Totorro rules and LaBeouf is beautiful and likeable, as always. I think they did a bang up job for a production that had to shoot with what was effectively a broken leading man and a writer’s strike.

Horse Lover? Read on!

| Blogging, Dating

Holy moly, I’ve seen everything now! This is probably one of the coolest things about living in the 2000′s, in a world so saturated with the internet and all of the possibilities that it’s created. This one is one of the best – finding your perfect match, and I mean PERFECT match, on a dating site. There are dating sites for every kind of person now. Gothic? You’re covered. Christian? You got it! You can probably find love if you’re a robot on an andriod to andriod dating service, lol! But this is the first time I’ve ever heard of EquestrianCupid.

See, equestrian cupid is exactly what it sounds like it is. It’s a dating service for people who love horses and want to meet other singles who love horses as well. You can find people to chat with about your love of riding, find the best riding spots in your area or even meet a buddy to go horseback riding with. How cool is that? It may not be my bag (not that I have anything against horses or horse lovers!), but it was worth mentioning because the concept that you can be matched with someone who so closely shares your intrests is just so cool! Plus who can say not to FREE sign-up?

Thoughts on Payday Loans

| Business, Money, Work

I’m so tired of money being so tight. This upcoming month is going to be awful, there’ll be no money for anything and we’ll barely be able to afford the very basic necessities due to work being as bad as it’s been lately and a lot of pay cuts. It annoys me that people are getting pay cuts even if they have a stellar job performance, which most of us do, and it’s getting so bad we’ll likely need to resort to payday loans.

At least we live in a day and age where you can get a payday advance to help you when times are lean, in fact you can apply for one online if you head over to apexpaydayloans.com with no credit check. Nationwide, too, plus you get your decision instantly!
