RIP David Carradine

2009 | Pain

I can’t believe we’ve lost so many amazing actors in the last few years. Estelle Getty, Heath Ledger, the incomparable Andy Hallet (still brings me to tears) and now one of my favorites, the late, and absolutely great David Carradine passed away.

I’m in shock. I loved David (and Keith), and was in constant awe of his charisma and ability to hold an audience with a look. Multi-talented, very cool, a real maverick (though I think that term’s been run into the ground by the McCain/Palin ticket). David Carradine, you will be missed.

To quote Confucius, he who keeps the old akindle and adds knew knowledge is fit to be a teacher. I think that really sticks out in my mind as a bit of sweet philosophy that really describes you. I wish nothing but peace and happiness for you and your family.
