In The Rooms Meetings

I don’t know if any of you have yet heard of InTheRooms Meetings or not, but it’s something I just recently got the chance to look into for the very first time. What it is gives me a little of my faith in the system back. InTheRooms Meetings is an online database for various meetings. In fact, they’ve logged the most current meetings for Narcotics Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous and even Alcoholics Anonymous.

I think having this database online is amazing, I can’t believe I didn’t know about it before! I’m nine years sober, but I still consider myself a recovering alcoholic because I don’t think I’ll ever really get over it. I wished so many times that I were close enough to, well, anything at all (I live in the middle of nowhere) but especially AA meetings I could attend and maybe not feel so alone. Maybe find a rock to help steady me.

One of the great things about InTheRooms Meetings is that they’re totally anonymous! In fact, that’s how InTheRooms Meetings got it’s name, because of the anonymity it provides to it’s members because of the sheer nature of how it’s set up. *sigh* I wish this had been around when I was 19.
