I know I gripe about this a lot, but it seems like everything that’s happening in my life at all has to do with it. I’m just flat broke. I don’t stand to make even close to enough this month to feed myself and my sister, and I’m really starting to worry about what’s going to happen to us.
I’m pretty sure we’ll at least get by, because we always get by, but I’m tired of it having to be this way. I’m tired of living hand to mouth and tired of going a few weeks at a time without any real food (we’re talking counting pennies up to see if we’ve got $2.50 to buy cheap pasta and sauce). On top of that our sink is now entirely broken, and we have to hook up the garden hose that runs into the washing machine onto that sink’s faucett just to do our laundry. Well long story short we no longer have the ability to do our laundry that way. So we’re basically trying to wash clothes with cheap dish soap in a 1.5×1 ft bathroom sink then squeeze/drip dry them for a bit (not too long, it’s humid and hot hre and they’ll mold) then tumble dry in the dryer that only tumbles and dosn’t get hot.
Why do I bother working insane hours for almost no wages? I could make about the same amount of money staying home and doing nothing all day. At least I’d be well rested!
