Dear Pain: Please go home. Signed, The Management

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you know me well you know that I've suffered from chronic migraines, tension headaches and severe joint pain for the better part of my life. The migraines are less frequent than they were just a year ago, but I still get them a few times a week and they last for hours on end. Now, most people would go to the doctor – and most people would be right. For this kind of thing I really should be seeking medical advice, but unfortunately I have no insurance and no way of paying out of pocket for something like that. Because of my financial situation I have to turn to generic medications over name brands, and generally that means they just don't work very well. But a few months ago my step dad gave me a box of Walgreens Migraine Relief medicine and low and behold – the blasted thing worked! Some General Maintenance
2011 | Freebies, Updates
Just a heads up, some things may be hard to access while I mess with the downloads counter and some other general things that need fixing. One of those things is my policy (up there on the nav bar), which has been updated now that the policy has changed.
I’m trying to figure out why my WordPress themes aren’t downloading correctly. I think I flubbed up the download manager or some such rot. If you have issues downloading, please let me know!

Awful Week Update – Hallelujah!
2011 | Beauty, Blogging, Business, Electronics, Family
Well, my week’s finally looking up! Granted it’s a small bit of shiny at the end of three weeks of misery, but it’s something at least!
I managed to fix Laota‘s computer, which about kicked my butt to the moon. It took almost 5 hours to do it and I had to try everything first. But it’s working fine now, I think (lol), booting and staying on without too much issue.
We booked Besame Cosmetics and had them on the radio show today! I got to listen in for once while running the switchboard, it was awesome, Gabriela Hernandez is just the sweetest person! Hope to have her on Sugar Push Live at some point (she said she’d be happy to, so yay!). Of course Louise is doing nothing but making my life difficult, and she’s been freaking out on me for everything including this morning with Besame. At least she kept it together for the show but, damn, woman.
I’m achey and tired but not having to be around Louise is helping loads, and Laota and I are about to have a late picnic-style dinner (fried chicken, potato salad, fresh spinach salad). Wish me sleep tonight!

Karma Error?
2011 | Blogging, Business, Electronics, Family, Food, Friends, Gifts and Giving, Health, Money, Posties, Rawr
I wish I could run a DNS flush command on Karma, because for some reason the Karma I’m supposed to be getting isn’t resolving right. What a week! What a freaking week! First I lose a friend over something stupid SHE did (actually, I should say she lost a friend – or, a lot of friends – over her penchant for lying and making scary drama). I don’t love the idea of getting into that, so on to the next thing!
Immediately after that was settled, as in within minutes, someone hacked my server. The hack went on for several hours and I had to get my host to restore from a backup they made a few days ago – very sorry if you got here during the hack-page error!
Well that gets fixed, it’s about 5 AM and I finally get to sleep. I wake up a few hours later and find out that Laota‘s PC has started booting to black screen. This is all happening within two days, plus business and money issues.
I’ve been working on her PC for hours, no idea what I’ll do if I can’t fix the blasted thing! I almost want to sneak over to bidrack and see if they have any laptops for somewhat cheap? I was messing around there a little earlier and saw that they had listed 2.0 GHz 15-inch Apple Macbook Pro for something like 140 bucks, which is insanely cheap!
And I’d love to get my hands on one of those to have around as a backup in case anything happens. I get overjoyed easily, so if I won I’m pretty sure I’d do an actual, literal jig of glee – which is why I hope no one ever has a camera around me!
Hopefully this week will end on a high note. Hoping to go see Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides tomorrow, but I have to figure out how to get cash in this town – they don’t take credit cards at the theater and no I’m not kidding. Wish me luck!
